Depends. Some very common algorithms, such sorting, binary search algorithms, might be is the case. But for those specific to rare business logic, the algorithm is critical and AI can’t do the job for you. Recently I tried to use AI to write algorithms for a parallel computing. It didn’t go well. I am not an AI expert , but I think lack of study resources to train the AI to write algorithms for edge cases.

My comments on that: First, why are you using windows for serious things? Second, why do you let automatic updates enabled giving strangers permission to change things that may affect YOUR MONEY? The automatic updates thing is more or less like the AirBag systems on new cars: they were developed not to avoid crashes but instead to protect people AFTER a crash occurs. AirBag does not protect against new crashes. But in practice the effect was inverse: more crashes happened BECAUSE of AirBag present on a vehicle than happened before when there was no AirBag. Let me explain. This is related with the human mind and how people understand things. When people are driving a car that has AirBag system on it, they tend to be less carefull driving because unconsciously they think "okay, if a crash happens, I am protected. So, I do not need to be so much carefull while driving now". And because of this state of mind, more crashes happen after the introduction of AirBag systems. The same is true for automatic updates but in a different fashion. Programmers became used to do things in a rush to give almost daily updates to everything to show someone that they are working on it, and are being less careful with what they are doing because they think: "oh, If I do something incomplete, unsecure, or wrong, I can correct it tomorrow on the next automatic update. So, let's go on with this!".

Purpose of the law should be to carry out justice. Not to make decisions based on previous judgements. Because not all parameters are same to those cases. If ai models wants to use others data to train their model they should retrain their models after seeking exclusive permissions from the data owners

I think world need immediate laws to stop AI using public web sites and public repositories to train data. 99.99% people who used public repositories didn't know one day someone going to use their data by a super non human brain to train it's model. I will explain this with an example. This is like one person get super power and whenever he enter a restaurant all other people in the restaurant get frozen. Legally he is not doing anything wrong. He enter a restaurant and he eat and leave. But when restaurant owner and other people expected normal current circumstances when he enter his restaurant (web site/ public repositories). Law should be changed to stop doing more than what users/(restaurant owner expected) to do under normal circumstances. Trained models using public repositories should be banned
